Second only to Raul Malo (formerly of The Mavericks) -- who I saw flawlessly perform Roy Orbison's Blue Bayou a cappella in Chicago in the late 1990's -- Chris Isaak, as a performer, has contributed the most to keeping the flame of Roy Orbison's style alive. And that's a very good thing.
