I think OWS is nothing the usual mixture of commies, socialists, anarchists, nihilists, hired rabble, useful idiots, and want-something-for-nothing types. I have close to zero sympathy.
I will confess that am amused by parts of the spectacle, say anarchists seemingly demanding more government. Or the cute anti-corportist stance while using the grown on (Apple) trees Macs, iphones, and ipads, all powered by static electricity from the fur of happy unicorns.
I think Zombie has it about right: http://zombietime.com/occupy_oakland_10-22-2011/
Thanks for your input, DRC. Obviously we are seeing this movement differently, but "different strokes for different folks," as Sly used to say. It's all good.
Revolutions are unfortunately often violent, but they don't have to be. (Talk about a revolutionary idea.) Peace begins at home. Here are some lyrics from the song:
The revolution starts now When you rise above your fear And tear the walls around you down The revolution starts here Where you work and where you play Where you lay your money down What you do and what you say The revolution starts now Yeah the revolution starts now
Yeah the revolution starts now In your own backyard In your own hometown So what you doin’ standin’ around? Just follow your heart The revolution starts now.

The song link doesn't seem to be working.
Sorry you are having problems, Anonymous.
I checked the post on my machine and the song plays just fine. Not knowing your system, and being a bad techee, I'll do anything I can to help.
First off, I'm pretty sure the song is up at Youtube.
